JOB DESCRIPTION

The Parts Delivery Driver drives company vehicles to pick up and deliver parts. He/she transports products from local parts sources and delivers them to our dealership. Most importantly and without exception, the Delivery Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous fashion
• Provides the parts and/or accessories in a timely fashion
• Ensures deliveries are promptly received and notifies internal or external customers accordingly
• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, wholesale accounts, and vendors
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups
• Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry
• Unloads truck each night
• Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts daily
• Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed
• Understands that the customer is the source of all revenue and should be treated with utmost respect
• Performs other duties, including warehouse duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience strongly preferred
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Self-motivation and the ability to work in a team environment
• Genuinely helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
• An impressive work-ethic
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
