Position Title: Treasury Analyst, Americas Cash Operations

Location: Norwalk, CT

Reports To: Susana Mendoza, Senior Treasury Manager

A great opportunity for someone to step into Treasury and join our Americas Treasury team at Newell with a focus on our regional businesses in LATAM. Reporting to the Senior Treasury Manager for the Americas, in this role you will get hands-on, broad treasury operations (cash forecasting, cash management) and banking operations (transactional support, relationship management) experience and the ability to work cross-functionally within a global/multinational environment. Successful candidates for this position will be highly motivated with strong Microsoft Office skills. The role is a great opportunity to be exposed to Treasury, Debt Capital Markets, FX and has high visibility to the Senior Treasury Team.

Responsibilities:

• Support Treasury and local business needs for our regional partners in LATAM to include banking structure support, process standardization, Treasury and banking solutioning, regional forecasting and cash flow monitoring
• Point of contact for LATAM regional matters; stay current on regional banking changes / new product offerings
• Support Senior Manager with regional banking RFP, bank consolidation and bank activity migrations
• Provide support to Americas cash Team for daily cash positioning, daily liquidity requirements and wire transfers in support of Treasury payments in line with company policies and procedures
• Partner with Treasury Manager to develop and maintain robust desktop/internal procedures for Treasury Operations – assist in aligning standardized processing across regional Treasury groups.
• User Access Management in Electronic Banking Platforms
• Coordinate audit activities for Treasury including Corporate/external year end and periodic Sox requirements
• Work with US Treasury team on global initiatives, including migration of all US banking activity to single banking partner and continued roll-out of and improvements to SAP s4/HANA

Qualifications / The Candidate:

• High proficiency/strong knowledge of MS Office
• Bi-lingual or Spanish speaking
• Business degree or relevant work experience
• Highly motivated with an acute attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective relationship management internally and externally.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to prioritize and utilize time efficiently
• Team-oriented with ability to take initiative, set priorities and deliver on timelines
• Strong organizational, quantitative, and analytical skills
• General knowledge of cash forecasting, cash positioning and Corporate banking structures desired

This position is flexible with employees generally expected in the office greater than 50% of the time based on business, training, and team needs.
