The Sport Courts Assistant will assist the Director of Sport Courts/Tennis Pro in daily operations of the Pro Shop, tennis courts, bocce courts and pickle ball courts. This Associate is responsible for the majority of clerical work and coordination in the Sport Court department.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General clerical duties using technology provided
  • Creation of promotional and event flyers
  • Set up area prior to opening each day
  • Set up tables and chairs when and where required
  • Ensure equipment is working and in place
  • Scheduling of court times/appointments
  • Assist Tennis Pro with court maintenance (after instruction)
  • Inspect area for cleanliness throughout the day
  • Maintain, clean, and properly store items in the Pro Shop
  • Implement and reorder store inventory for Pro Shop
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the day
  • Accept payments
  • Other duties as required

OPERATING SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

Education/Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Strong ability in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook) & internet required
  • Great communication skills required
  • Must be a team player
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work independently after instruction, required
  • Provide a pleasant and service-oriented experience for guests

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds while following appropriate safety procedures

  • Be able to work in various positions including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions
  • Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity)
  • Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
  • Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50 pounds occasionally to completeassigned job tasks
  • Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word
  • Maintain a valid Florida driver's license.
