GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of clinic supervisor, and following established procedures and precedents, prepares patients for physical examination, obtains specimens, conducts select routine laboratory tests and records results, and performs phlebotomy, routine diagnostic tests. Under delegated supervision of a physician; performs clinical and administrative tasks.

Hours: 72-80 hours every two weeks. Hours will vary, but must be available to begin work starting as early as 6:30am and ending as late as 8pm when scheduled. Will work 1-2 evenings per week only and no more than 2 weekend days a month.

  • This is a float Medical Assistant opening.

Newly hired Medical Assistants, Certified Medical Assistants and Registered Medical Assistants will receive a $1000 bonus (grossed up). The first $500 will be paid at your 6 month mark of employment and the remaining $500 will be paid at the end of one year. This bonus does not apply to internal employees transferring within departments.

*This position includes a $2.00 float shift differential and reimburses for mileage*

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • 3 years clinical experience

Required License/Certification:

  • A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross for healthcare providers.

Preferred License/Certification:

  • Successful completion of a school that is accredited by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Obtain certification within one year of hire.
