Join the growing and vibrant Department of Counseling as a post-doctoral teaching and learning fellow. This Fellowship program is a new and exciting opportunity for a person to develop core teaching capabilities and contribute to the department whose mission is to prepare students to become multiculturally competent and socially just professional counselors. Students develop foundational awareness, knowledge, skills, and professional dispositions to serve diverse clients and their needs in a range of clinical and educational settings.

The University is in process of developing a new College for Community Health, and the Counseling Department will be the largest program anchoring the new college that is focused on interdisciplinary collaborations among a range of health-related disciplines (e.g., Nutrition, Family Science, Kinesiology, Audiology and Speech Language Pathology) providing numerous broad opportunities for interprofessional education within the college and with other schools and colleges including the School of Nursing.
The teaching fellow will be an integral part of the department through teaching master’s level courses, advising students, engaging in scholarship, engaging in social justice and advocacy consistent with the department mission, and participating in department, college, and university committees. Candidates must meet qualifications to teach in a CACREP-accredited program. This is a one year 12-month, non-tenure track position with review for renewal into a second year.
