Plating Operator I Job at JAE Oregon, INC.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operates production and test equipment, with assistance.
- Monitors and recommends improvements to the area as needed.
- Complies with Company and area safety policies and practices.
- Maintains accurate production records and equipment operation records.
- Performs tests and measurements on parts, with some assistance, to insure product quality.
- Interfaces with quality assurance to insure product quality.
- Assists in picking, transporting and exchanging materials, supplies and parts.
- Inspects production equipment daily.
- Supports and fosters active participation in, and complies with, corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and Expectations Handbook and complies with the Management Systems Manual.
- Completes on-the-job and specialized training as required.
- Handles hazardous materials and samples.
- Ensures the safe transport of hazardous materials and gas cylinders.
- Operates basic hand and power tools.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be mobile.
- Must be able to stand or sit for most of shift.
- Must have vision correctable to 20/20 and not be color blind.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic calculator.
- Legible handwriting.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Previous hazardous chemical handling experience.
- General knowledge of ISO TS-16949 and ISO 14001 procedures.
- An understanding of basic statistical concepts
A: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:00am - 6:00pm; every other week Mon - Thurs 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
B: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6:00pm - 6:00am; every other week Mon.- Thurs 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
C: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm; every other week Thurs. - Sun. 6:00 am - 6:00 pm
D: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00pm - 6:00am; every other week Thurs. - Sun. 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
Note: B and C shift receive base rate plus 9% differential, D shift receives base rate plus 12% differential.
Week 1 - 36 hours
Week 2 - 48 hours
