Job Purpose

To ensure that all products that are manufactured by General Nuclear Corp are free of defects/deviations and meet all testing and inspection requirements for both military and commercial applications.

Principal (Essential) Duties

  • Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections to ensure material and components are free of defects and meet required specifications and contract requirements.
  • Accept or reject in process/finished components.
  • Train, qualify and monitor UT inspection personnel
  • Create and manage all UT procedures.

Secondary Duties

  • Work with General Nuclear Corporation engineers and customers on procedure revisions to ensure all technical requirements are being met
  • Complete inspection/testing certifications.

  • Ability to read and interpret component drawings/blueprints.
  • Knowledge of non-destructive examination in the UT field

Experience/Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • United States citizen
  • Proficient technology skills including ability to use: a. Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Access)
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week required
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle required

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Low to moderate physical activity – may require standing for up to 8 hours.
  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
  • Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
