Thank you for considering this position. We are looking for a Theatre Director for our Musical Theater Program. We are in the middle of Shrek Jr rehearsals with tech April 29/30 and performances May 6/7 and 12th.

Duties to include:

• Check in and check out of all students at rehearsals
• Set up and tear down of rehearsal space
• Attending weekly production meetings with the Music Director, Stage Manager, and support staff.
• Teaching children in small groups various choreography, singing, and acting components of the show (under the direction of the Theater and/or Music Director)

Preferences in hiring:

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Have previous experience teaching children in a group setting
• Have previous verifiable work history of dependability and consistency
• Have previous acting, voice, and dance teaching experience
• Have directed or choreographed previous productions

Requirements in hiring:

• Must be available for MONDAY AT TUESDAY (other days can be added if you are interested in more hours but Monday/Tuesday are required) Monday 3pm - 6:30pm, Tuesday 4pm - 7pm, Wednesday 2:30pm - 5:30pm, Thursday 1:30pm - 4:30pm , and Fridays 12pm - 3:30pm
• Must be able to pass background checks (criminal)
• Able to sing on pitch, teach basic choreography, and acting
• Must genuinely enjoy teaching children and have previous successful and verifiable experience teaching children

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

• Our Rehearsals are in the 92127 Zip Code, which is approximately a 20-25 minute drive from Mission Valley, and a 30-40 minute drive from Carlsbad. We are located 3 miles west off the I-15 and Camino Del Norte Exit. Please review that commute before applying and indicate below if that commute will be doable for you.
