Job Description

Position: NTP (Non Treated Paper) Sheeter Operator

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sheet dry decorative patterns, treated overlay, PBS and wax to specific lengths. While focusing on visual quality, making sure machine is running properly.

  • Set up the material to be run through the non-treated pattern sheeter

  • Sheet the dry material to specific lengths per Product Quality Department

  • Record the amount of sheets cut and the height of the pallet in inches, enter into ORACLE system

  • Evaluate the decorative paper for factory defects

  • Move the sheeted material to the material holding area to the cutter

  • Operate a lift truck to retrieve the dry rolls of decorative paper, only when needed

  • Operate the bar code machine to label the material returned to stock, only as needed

  • Follow all ISO procedures as written

  • Make sure all computer and paper work has been accurately completed

  • Regular attendance required

  • Train to learn the NTP Sheeter Service Position and fill in as needed.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of work experience to include working knowledge of computers.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
  • Knowledge of the safety standards applicable to the sheeter area and other pertinent rules / regulations governing work standards.
  • Ability to a operate lift truck equipment. Math and calculator skills a must

Physical requirements:

Heavy work. Tasks involves pushing / pulling of material up to 100lbs, lifting up to 85lbs from floor to mid-thigh, lift up to 50lbs from mid-thigh to shoulder, lift 40lbs from shoulder to overhead, carry up to 135lbs and standing and walking during a minimum ten hour shift.
