Job Summary:
The inventory analyst is responsible for managing inventory items and the daily inventory operations of the organization. The Inventory analyst is required to analyze inventory statistics and perform financial analytics to verify all inventory transactions are timely and correct.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage, review, analyze, and verify purchased and manufactured materials.
  • Manage inventory gaps through MRP software.
  • Collect, document, monitor, and review inventory data for accuracy and timeliness within the ERP system.
  • Analyze and reconcile physical and perpetual inventory levels (cycle counts).
  • Resolve inventory variances within accounting rules.
  • Train employees on the inventory systems and provide technical support.
  • Head up meetings with all department managers to discuss and troubleshoot for variance reductions.
  • Monitor and manage all revisions of BOMs and resulting impacts to company inventories.
  • Develop and maintain measures for excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Work with department managers to minimize impacts of obsolete and excess inventory
  • Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with shipping, manufacturing, purchasing and accounting to enhance delivery and efficiency.
  • Document and maintain all the new processes created and include them in the QMS procedures.
  • Cross train within the Materials department
  • Maintain business unit KPI’s as required
  • Take on special projects as needed

Education / Licenses / Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, inventory management or related field required. May consider five (5) or more years of directly relevant work experience in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing or related position.
  • Prior work experience in automotive manufacturing plant highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be familiar with or previously used Google tools for calendar, e-mail, document repositories, etc.
