Job Summary

Ox Hill Companies is seeking a mid-level interior designer with tenant fit out and move coordination experience to assist in our various development projects. The interior designer will be an integral part of the Architecture & Design team and will be a key component of ensuring client deliverables are met.

The interior designer will develop tenant spaces and incorporate client requirements into permanent interior design solutions to advance respective projects. Candidate must be proficient in commercial design standards, codes, and regulations, and innovative in economically-driven space planning. Design team members are expected to anticipate project challenges while performing design and technical tasks.

Responsibilities

· Support leadership in various activities including: performing multi-site analyses, gathering and documenting tenant programmatic requirements, conducting feasibility studies, assisting project management in tenant improvement cost estimates, and maintaining accurate occupancy reporting

· Conduct space audits to verify suitability, assess facility conditions, document existing layouts, and maintain accurate facility drawings

· Utilize architecture design software to document verified existing conditions, draft tests fits, and maintain accurate floor plans for Ox Hill owned and leased properties

· Assist with the development of interiors concepts based on client vision, desire, project scope, and architectural aesthetic

· Obtain client approval of interior concepts and space plans; assist in the production of permit-ready documentation, managing consultant teams as directed by leadership

· Act as move coordinator, programming client requirements, working with move contractors, ensuring installations meet expectations, and developing tenant punch lists

· Lead multiple initiatives simultaneously using strong time management and prioritization skills

· Participate in master development design activities, including making adaptations and modifications and assisting other designers in managing specific aspects of the overall design

· Coordinate with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objective, budget, and schedule

· Communicate with other design disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure project requirements are incorporated into project documentation

· Maintains furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) standards by project site

· Maintain sample library for multiple projects and coordinate the selection of alternates as required

· Review shop drawings and respond to project submittals to ensure compliance with design intent

· Utilizes creative thinking to achieve innovative solutions

· Participates in virtual and on-site team meetings to discuss project and technical issues

Qualifications

· Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field

· On the path to NCIDQ certification

· 3+ years of experience

· Sustainable design accreditation preferred

· Experience with software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, InDesign and 3D modeling software preferred

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred

· Familiarity with document management software such as Bluebeam or ProCore

· Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines

· Knowledge of FF&E to carry out design intent

· Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
