Lead Assembler - 2nd Shift (relocation) Job at Eaton

Eaton’s Electrical Power Systems Division is currently seeking a Lead Assembler – 2nd Shift to join our team! The hourly rate starts at $19.57/hour plus a $1.25/hr shift premium, depending on experience. The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm, Monday-Friday. This position is based at our Lincoln Avenue facility in Waukesha, WI. Relocation will be provided to those outside of 50 miles of Waukesha, WI.

Position overview:

The Tanker is responsible for tank substation and three-phase, pad-mounted transformers, making all necessary connections to brushings, switches, etc.

In this function you will:

  • Locate and move tanks, parts, and covers to the assembly area.
  • Assemble bushings and current transformers to cover or tank as specified.
  • Mount core and coil in tank and bolts in place, clamp cover in place and makes all electrical connections to bushings, and mount tap changer, switches, current transformers, and vacuum fault interrupters.
  • Locate and assemble all accessories, such as oil level gauges, thermometer, pressure-vacuum gauge, pressure relief device, etc. to the tank as specified.
  • Check all lead clearances inside unit and assemble needed spacers and or insulating barriers as required.
  • Perform resistance testing on small pad-mounted transformers.
  • VFI, Load break switches.
  • Read and work off of blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of electrical experience.

Position Criteria:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
