About the Position

We’re seeking a motivated Sales Professional that strives to be the best each day. A candidate who is a self-starting, creative, enthusiastic, sales-based individual, motivated by internal standards of excellence to exceed customer expectations and achieve set goals. This will require excellent relationship-building skills, the ability to ask questions to understand the clients’ needs, quick decision making, problem-solving and organizational skills. Certainly not an entry-level sales position this is for an experienced professional preferably with management experience.

The position includes a brand new company vehicle, computer, iPhone, and all the necessary gadgets that make measuring efficient and professional. Our design consultants enjoy working in a new location every day including the most beautiful and unique properties that the Carolina's have to offer.

Expectations of the Job

  • Conduct in-home interior design consultations for window treatments, 5 days per week using company sales vehicle
  • Follow our industry-leading sales process to help clients find the right product at the right price and close the sale
  • Computer savvy
  • Accurately and precisely measure for each product
  • Prepare most quotes onsite or within 24 hours of sales appointment
  • Follow up with customers at agreed upon time
  • Work with customers to resolve issues should they arise
  • Initiative and creativity to generate new clients and marketing opportunities
  • Home & Garden trade shows in Spring & Fall

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years Sales related experience
  • Detail Oriented – focused and precise in measurements and math, able to read a tape measure
  • Communication skills – ability to articulate product’s pros and cons, converse in a friendly manner putting the customer at ease
  • Superior time management – organized and systematic, good follow up skills
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to adhere to a national background check
  • Interior Design and/or Custom Sales experience preferred but not required

Additional Summary
We provide quality sales opportunities with pre-qualified customers that have called us needing our services not "cold calling". The job entails managing a strong pipeline of company-generated prospects, conducting in-home design presentations, complete sales documentation, placing orders with vendors, providing details to installers, and follow-up on leads that do not initially result in a sale. In addition to meeting with homeowners, the successful candidate will establish and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and interior decorators – canvassing and networking to generate additional leads, communicating one-on-one and in group presentations, visiting job sites, and breaking into new markets, schools, hospitals, and BNI/Chamber groups. This will not be an 8 to 5 position it is a “whatever it takes position'. We are looking for someone to contribute to the team by selling themselves, building their own book of business, and having FUN!
