Grounds Equipment Operator 2022-23 Job at East Irondequoit Central School District
There is an anticipated opening for a Grounds Equipment Operator in the Buildings and Grounds department. This is a 12-month, 8 hour per day position. The work hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Competitive salary based on experience with a minimum starting salary of $14.35 per hour.
Job Qualifications
**Valid license to operate a motor vehicle is required**
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans restrooms and related support facilities;
- Mows lawns and trims and edges around walks, flowerbeds, walls, fences, hedges, trees and shrubs;
- Prunes trees and shrubs;
- Plants, waters, fertilizes and weeds grass, flowers, trees and shrubs;
- Rakes leaves, picks up brush and litter;
- Plows or shovels snow and spreads salt on walkways, steps, driveways, or crossings,
- Repairs and paints fences, gates, walks, walls, tables, and benches,;
- Installs playground and athletic equipment;
- Cleans out gutters, drainage ditches, culverts, and catch basins;
- Operates manual, power tools and equipment;
- Operates light trucks to deliver supplies and cart debris, loads and unloads trucks;
- Other related activities may be performed although not listed
