Brandywine Living, a premier provider of luxury senior living, is searching for a hard-working, innovative, and self-motivated Line Chef to join our team in beautiful Haddonfield, NJ.

**Available Schedule **

  • Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
  • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

The Line Cook/Chef will prepare and deliver restaurant style meals under the guidance of the Dining Services Director for a high end luxury senior living. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about food and creative presentation.

Duties Includes:

  • Provides quality meals and makes adjustments with residents needs and desires
  • Follow recipes and planned menus
  • Ensure the quality of all food and plate presentation with garnish is ready before meals leave the kitchen
  • Assist Dining Services Director /Dining team with tracking, recording, and maintaining inventory stock including foods, beverages, and kitchen supplies
  • Execute in the creation, recipe and plate presentation for daily specials
  • Work efficiently to resolve any problems that arise in the kitchen
  • Research and share new culinary trends
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations pertaining to food handling/production
  • Maintain proper procedures to maintain kitchen/equipment sanitation
  • Work collaboratively with all dining team members to deliver a food product that exceeds the residents and/or guests expectations
  • Ensure the kitchen areas are maintained at the highest levels of cleanliness and quality at all times
  • Plan, prepare and execute Escapades.. for Life!, Connections, signature dining events, special events, banquets, and themed meals
  • Work closely with the Dining Services Director to plan and execute signature dining programs ii.e. Captain’s Table, Epicurean Adventures, etc.
  • Assure compliance with county, state and federal regulations affecting department
  • Process diet changes and new diets as received from wellness department

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • 1+ years experience in a chef position in hotel, country club, restaurant and/or hospitality industry
  • ServSafe Manager certification
  • Experience in planning, designing, and preparing meals
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Works well with teams and in fast paced environment
  • High level of creativity and reliability
