What we Need:

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to partner with our experienced Field Services team in this environmentally focused industry.

  • A Field Service Technician at Smith and Loveless is Adaptable and Resourceful, acting as our client’s primary point of contact nationwide. This individual will operate autonomously, utilizing all the mechanical and electrical resources and support provided by the company. In addition to the factory's support, their previous technical knowledge and experience will become essential to help troubleshoot and resolve our client’s needs. The work will be centered around wastewater and pumping systems, onsite at the client's location.

Who we are seeking:

  • Technical degree (trade school, junior college, or university) or 5+ years' experience as a field technician
  • Ability to travel domestically (85%) and internationally (5% travel)
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanical experience with tools and assembly of piping, gaskets, and gears
  • Electrical experience in relay logic, PLCs, high voltage, and schematics
  • Experience with pumps, wastewater systems, and/or water transfer systems preferred
  • Coding skills for PLCs and control panels a PLUS

Please Note, this position requires up to 95% travel (mostly out of state, plane travel). When not traveling it is expected that all members of the Field Service team work onsite at our headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas
