Under general supervision, administrative assistants assist students in the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at EGSC. Administrative assistants provide assistance to students seeking academic advisement and/or academic assistance in the A.C.E. The administrative assistant may include, but is not limited to, the following: help students check into the GradesFirst kiosk, direct students to available advisors and/or tutors to provide academic support services for the student.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to students seeking academic advisement and/or academic assistance in academic courses
  • Ensure students who utilize tutoring services are signing in and out via the ACE computer on the Access software.

Required Qualifications


High school diploma or GED required. Must be an EGSC student enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and be in good academic standing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of GradesFirst

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • The ability to provide assistance and guidance on software programs, such as GradesFirst
  • The ability to divide attention between two or more students
  • The ability to interact with students who are seeking out A.C.E. academic support services.
