R K Webster (RKW) is a small civil engineering consulting firm in Montoursville, PA. Our core values include expanding our team, and adding new services to provide responsive, innovative solutions to all of our clients. We primary services currently include Commercial Land Development and Municipal Engineering, including the Land Development for multiple National Brands.

RKW was founded in 2012 as a one-man operation. Today we have 4 Engineers and 2 part time Admin/Support staff. Smaller firms succeed, and remain successful primarily because they understand the value of delivering quality services, on time, within budget, and maintaining a reputation of doing so.

Your Opportunity + Impact

We are looking for an entry level engineer to join our team. Your contribution will be to provide design and drafting support on various civil engineering projects throughout the region. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should be comfortable splitting their hours between the office, on-site visits, and attending occasional meetings.

The successful candidate will be a critical thinker, have sound subject knowledge of civil engineering principles, and possess the ability to identify and solve engineering problems. They must also possess a certain level of creativity in order to present innovative solutions and improvements to technical processes. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate ideas, make recommendations, and negotiate project details with their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of detailed designs for commercial Land Development/Site Plans.
  • Provide feasibility assessments and site inspections.
  • Prepare construction cost opinions for projects.
  • Review and abide by government regulations, ordinances, and client desires.
  • Prepare and submit various PA DEP permit applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from ABET-accredited school.
  • Registration/Licensure – Engineer-In-Training preferred.
  • Proficiency with design software, such as Autodesk, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and related software.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work on more than one project at a time.
  • Must have a strong desire to expand knowledge base and undertake new responsibilities.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Possess strong oral & written communication skills, and have strong organizational & time management skills
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a project team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
