Diesel Mechanic (FT) Job at The DePaul Group

Highway Materials, Inc. is a producer of Construction Aggregates and Hot Mix Asphalt products in Eastern Pennsylvania, with seven locations to serve our customers.
Currently we are looking for a Heavy Equipment (Diesel) & Truck Inspection Mechanics to join our team at the Plymouth Meeting, PA location.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Candidates must possess:
Position Summary:
Perform repair and all aspects of preventative maintenance on Company Equipment.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Performs all aspects of maintenance on various types of equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctions and perform necessary repairs utilizing tools and test equipment.
  • Repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, hydraulics, air system etc.
  • Preventative Maintenance.
  • Performs fieldwork on all addition equipment as needed depending on experience.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment in quarry applications.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair all aspects of heavy equipment.
  • Able to perform complete repairs and overhaul functions.
  • Must have own hand tools.
  • Drivers license required, CDL preferred.
  • Basic welding techniques.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Minimum 3-5 years heavy equipment field repair experience preferred.
  • CAT equipment experience desired.
  • Perform preventative maintenance when needed.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Truck Inspection Mechanic
Position Summary: Perform repair and all aspects of preventative maintenance on Company Vehicles.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Perform State Inspection of Fleet vehicles.
  • Performs all aspects of maintenance on various types of trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnoses malfunctions and perform necessary repairs utilizing tools and test equipment.
  • Repair engines, transmissions, brake systems, hydraulics, air system etc.
  • Preventative Maintenance.
  • Performs fieldwork on all addition equipment as needed depending on experience.
Qualifications:
  • 1 or more year of diesel experience required for Diesel Mechanic Position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational or Technical certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, and valid CDL.
  • Valid PA inspection license.
  • Must have a Positive attitude and willingness to grow in position.
  • Willingness to travel within district (close geographical area), work the required schedule, work at the specific location required.
