Deposit Services Representative Job at Fidelity Bank
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for processing reject and exception items, internal charge backs, requests for levies, garnishments, writs, and child support, ACH returns and disputes, and cash items reconcilement in accordance with Bank policy, compliance and regulations while assisting with daily workload and deadlines.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Time: Description:
20% Perform reject, exception and return item processing and updates.
15% Monitor and balance the RIP account.
15% Handle internal charge backs entries and notices.
15% Responsible for levies, garnishments, writs and child support processing.
10% Responsible for ACH return, ACH dispute processing, and return resolution reports.
5% Answer branch inquiries via phone and emails.
5% Monitor and balance various General Ledger accounts to ensure that items are clearing timely.
5% Monitor branch networks cash items registers and General Ledger account to ensure items clear in a timely manner.
5% Assist Security Dept with the employee NSF / Overdraft report.
5% Serve as back-up and assist other associates as needed.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma and 2 years of banking experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments with speed, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures and to work independently and have excellent organizing and prioritizing skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with reject, exception and return item processing.
