We are seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Dixon location to open new accounts, refer bank services and products as well as working as a team to meet goals and standards set for the Customer Service Department and Sterling Federal Bank.

Precise Roles, Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Opening new accounts
  • Cross-selling products and services
  • Assisting customers with answers or solutions to problems
  • Bond and redemptions
  • IRA account opening and processing
  • Maintaining an adequate understanding of insurance of accounts, rules of accounts and related products and services
  • Attend weekly cross sales meeting
  • Balancing ATM
  • Additional responsibilities as required
  • Maintaining an adequate understanding of SFB's policies and procedures


Requirements

  • Good organizational skills
  • Prompt and accurate service
  • Responsible and reliable behavior
  • Ability to make rational decisions
  • Ability to relate with customers calmly and effectively
  • Must be "team-oriented"
  • Minimum two years' teller experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred

Hours

  • 7:45 - 5:30 Monday through Friday (start and end time will vary based on assigned duties that day)
  • 8:00 - 12:30 Saturday
  • Average hours worked will be 37-40 hours per week
  • Every 3rd Saturday off with a half day off the week that you also work on Saturday
