Join us for Camp! Our field trips based camp offers guaranteed fun and adventure. This is a 10-week seasonal position (June-August) with some training and set up tasks prior to camp start. Includes *sign on bonus*

  • PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Treat the medical needs of campers and staff
  • Assist in the collection, storage, and administration of medications to campers and staff
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and detailed medical records including:
    • Staff and Camper health forms
    • Medical Log book of daily visits
    • Daily reports of restricted activities for campers and staff
    • Medication Administration Forms
    • Incident Report Forms
  • Assist in the inventory of necessary medical supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in developing and stocking First Aid Kits for camp.
  • Meet or consult with Camp Health Care Provider as needed
  • Assist in providing a staff orientation to health services at camp including:
    • Overview of standing orders, Infirmary rules, emergency procedures, staff health assessment of campers, accident prevention, universal precautions, and first aid in the camp setting.
  • To perform any task beyond those assigned, as needed

  • FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to all fiscal policies as outlined by the Association

  • FACITLITY/HOUSEKEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure that a clean, sanitary healthy environment is maintained in the nurse's office
  • Maintain personal appearance appropriate for work assignment
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures and participate in emergency drills
  • Ensure checklists are completed daily

  • INTERDIVISIONAL/COMMUNITY/ VOLUNTEER/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in public relations events sponsored by the Old Colony Y.
  • Provide friendly, courteous service to all campers, parents, volunteers, and staff of the Y
Requirements:
  • ØMust be at least 21years old

    ØRegistered Nurse

    ØAbility to lift or assist campers or staff

    ØPhysical ability to get to remote locations on camp property quickly

    ØGood interpersonal communication skills

    ØEvidence of physical examination every two years

    ØNegative Mantoux TB test

    ØImmunity for measles, mumps, and rubella

    ØCertification of good health from a physician
