Responsibilities


Position Summary:

Administers various benefit programs and ensures compliance with all regulations and plan documents. Oversees all leave related programs including short-term disability, long-term disability, FMLA, ADA, parental leave, personal leave and workers’ compensation. Provides back-up for day-to-day management of 401(k) and pension plans. Serve as the liaison between third party vendors, site HR and employees.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Serve as day-to-day contact for life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, voluntary benefits, EAP and other point-solutions.
  • Oversee leave administration including state leaves, family paid leave, Military leave, ADA and personal leave.
  • Handle all tasks associated with understanding and resolving work related injury claims.
  • Coordinate with local HRBPs on return-to-work arrangements.
  • Attend and actively participate in all claim reviews.
  • Ensure all leaves are accurately tracked in our systems.
  • Provide reporting metrics for all leaves of absence & work-related claims and perform reconciliation to ensure accurate processing and payment.
  • Complete direct billing and track missed benefit premiums.
  • Provide guidance and direction to employees, managers, and HR Business Partners regarding any leave of absence.
  • Work closely with legal on any litigated claims, responses to subpoenas and settlements.
  • Assist with the administration of the 401(k) and pension plans

  • Works under general supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of other peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.




Target Based Range

$63,400 - $79,250

Qualifications


Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 04-06 years related experience required.
  • Knowledge of employee benefit programs and experience working in a Corporate Benefits department
  • Understanding of benefit eligibility, IRS regulations and all applicable laws related to FMLA and ADA
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear and effective communications
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and eligibility file feeds
  • Ability to work and interact with all levels of employees in the Company

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
