The Accounting Wire Transfer Specialist is responsible for processing domestic outgoing and incoming wires for the Bank customers and commercial and residential loan customers. Also processes foreign outgoing and incoming wires in USD's.
Required:
- Minimum GED or high school diploma
- Minimum 1 year working knowledge of general accounting principles
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to build external and internal relationships
- Ability to work proactively, independently and in team setting with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (accounting, business, finance)
- Understanding of Fed Line Advantage FRB process for entering and clearing wires
Specific Job Functions:
- Review, validate and process outgoing (exceeding $1 Billion annually), and incoming ($400-$500M annually) wire transfers
- Export the Wire System software data to post the General Ledger entries and transmit the wires to the Federal Reserve Fed line Advantage System daily for supervisor approval
- Export wire data to the BSA group for security monitoring.
- Monitor the Wire System software updates to the OFAC report to assist in the prevention of fraudulent activity.
- Monitor our daily Cash position with our correspondent bank Capital One for currency and coin Shipment activity.
- Monitor the Federal Home Loan Bank Cash Management tool for projected activity and settle our target balance daily.
- Provide general reconcilement support to other areas of the Accounting Department as necessary. Special Handling reconcilement.
- Complies with regulatory rules and regulations, evidenced through successful completion of training and demonstrated ability.
- Performs other duties as appointed by management.
