Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a VP of Quality at West Hills Hospital. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating West Hills Hospital quality and risk initiatives Medical Staff Services, and Patient Safety, in order to support West Hills Hospital strategic plan and goals, and meet HCA quality objectives and standards. In this regard, you will have responsibility for facilitating and coordinating activities in: 1) clinical excellence and patient safety; 2) process improvement and outcomes management; and 3) regulatory readiness. You will coordinate and work closely with the HCA Clinical Services Group, the West Hills Hospital Chief Medical Officer, the West Hills Hospital VP of Performance Improvement, and the Director of Case Management. Responsible for ensuring facility compliance with The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation, licensure and other standards, rules and regulations.


What qualifications you will need:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration Clinical licensure, preferably RN
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred, such as MHA, MBA, or MSN.
  • Certification as a quality professional (CPHQ) preferred.
  • At least 5-8 years of clinical and quality improvement experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Experience in coordinating activities across a range of entities.
  • Experience with, and knowledge of, hospital regulatory standards and related activities.
  • Previous experience within a multi facility environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Strong leadership, creativity, and excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to tailor the message to individuals and audiences across the organization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management, clinical and IT&S staff.
  • Demonstrated track record as a valued member of the team.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to facilitate group and team process improvement.
  • Ability to establish and maintain long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
