Urgent Care Physician Job at LUNG ASSOCIATES of Sarasota

LUNG ASSOCIATES of Sarasota Sarasota, FL 34239

$350,000 - $500,000 a year

Lung Associates of Sarasota wishes to invite a qualified physician to join our practice on the beautiful southwest coast of Florida. Our large, independent, private practice group continues to expand to meet the growing demands in the region. Our physicians participate in a mix of pulmonary and critical care, with approximately 60% of our time devoted to hospital care and 40% to outpatient pulmonary practice. We would like to add another qualified general pulmonary critical care physician to the group.

Hospital and ICU

We practice pulmonary and critical care medicine at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, a large, public, regional referral medical center recognized by Magnet and listed as a U.S. News “Best Hospital.” The group provides intensivist coverage for a 52 bed ICU with medical, surgical, cardiac surgical and neurologic critical care units, and runs a busy pulmonary consult service. Night and weekend coverage is shared equally among the group. Advanced practice provider and resident support is present 24 hours daily. A dedicated, well-equipped bronchoscopy suite with state-of-the-art equipment is run by experienced therapists. Anesthesia services are readily available for procedural support. The thoracic oncology program includes an active tumor board, multi-disciplinary cancer care and a lung cancer screening center. The recent opening of a satellite hospital and cancer center within the system has provided the opportunity for expansion of the group.

Outpatient Pulmonary

Adjacent to the hospital, our office practice draws regional referrals for the full spectrum of pulmonary disorders. The office overlooks downtown Sarasota and Sarasota Bay, uses a fully electronic record accessible off site and houses a full PFT lab. Our board-certified sleep physicians supervise an accredited sleep lab intrinsic to the practice.

Teaching and Research

The group supports the Florida State University Internal Medicine residency program and hosts medical students from the local FSU campus. We are actively involved in clinical research supported through the hospital’s clinical research center.

Competitive compensation package

A two-year employed position with competitive salary and low buy-in leads to full partnership. Complete benefits package includes paid vacation, CME support, health and liability coverage. A team approach to care helps maintain a balanced lifestyle.

Requirements

Pulmonary/Critical Care BE/BC required. We cannot currently support J1 or H1b visas.

The Region

Sarasota is a beautiful, family friendly, coastal town that boasts excellent schools, restaurants, sports and recreational facilities, and is noted for its cultural activities. Golf, tennis, biking, rowing, boating and a host of other outdoor activities are available year-round.
