We are looking for an experienced Medical Technician/Phlebotomist to join our team at our Deer Park, TX site for a full time position. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate: organizational skills, efficiency in all task and attention to detail
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical information.
  • Ability to effectively present information, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computer and telephone.
  • Knowledge of current diagnostic tests, their functions, and normal results.
  • Has consistently demonstrated service-oriented performance.
  • Must adhere to the service expectations of CORE, LLC.

DUTIES:

  • Adheres to all CORE, LLC policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Performs temperature checks
  • Performs COVID nasal swab tests
  • Process CDC questionnaires
  • Obtains basic history, and medical information, and take vital signs
  • Administers intramuscular injections under authorization and supervision of physician in accordance with State of Louisiana law and prevailing CORE, LLC agreements and protocols.
  • Performs collection of vital signs, Performs visual acuity and color testing.
  • Performs urine specimen collection following DOT regulations and/or chain of custody requirements.
  • Performs safe venipuncture (phlebotomy).
  • Performs urine dipstick testing.
  • Performs 12 lead EKGs.
  • Performs audiometric screening,
  • Performs other duties as required

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current EMT-Basic or Medical Assistant Certificates preferred
  • Current National Phlebotomy Certification preferred
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Pass DISA Background Check
  • Pass DISA Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • TWIC Card (preferred)
  • Basic Orientation Plus from Alliance Safety Council (preferred)
  • Must have available transportation with up to date insurance coverage
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
