Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems has an opening at our Palmdale, California facility for a level 2 and 3 Tool Crib Attendant. Duties will include, but not limited to:

Receive, store, and issues tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, and measuring devices. Maintains records of tools issued to employees; takes periodic inventory and requisitions stock as needed; reports damaged, worn out, or missing equipment using computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database. Cleans, oils, and performs minor repairs on equipment; disposes of surplus or obsolete equipment in accordance with established procedure. Ensures that measuring devices are periodically calibrated. Tools are in support of ground support and tooling efforts to allow for aircraft testing, launch and recovery efforts and system test equipment operations. Operate industrial equipment such as fork trucks, lift gates, tow tractors and hand trucks in the safe movement of equipment up to 9 tons. Anticipate and verify shortages and affix priorities to tool and equipment dispatch. Expedite to final destination by coordinating with requesting department (Engineering, Operations, Tooling, Planning, Material Control, etc.). Update equipment locations with CMMS and comply with all FAR requirements. Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for additional efforts. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for, and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support

life cycle of product.

Basic Qualifications:
Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
Level 3: High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of tools and their intended use, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Safety programs.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
  • Must have an active Secret DoD clearance with ability to maintain that clearance.
  • Must obtain and retain Special Program access as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current PAR
  • Familiarization with tool and asset accountability systems such as TCMAX, EPS, and TEAMMS
  • Good understanding of Hazardous material processes and procedures in conjunction with maintaining re-stock points of PEB, bench/shop stock and consumables.


Salary Range: $51,800 USD - $86,400 USD
Salary Range 2: $61,700 USD - $102,800 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
