We’re seeking smart, motivated applicants with some work experience looking to take their career to the next level, even if their work experience is not in a technical field.

We provide free (paid time) training in the classroom and in our laboratory to assure that you can perform your work successfully and confidently. We will train you how to calibrate various types of test and measurement instruments. You will work in our laboratory. In your initial role, most calibrations will be in the dimensional discipline and may include devices such as such as thread plug gauges, thread ring gauges, plain ring gauges, pin gauges, radius gauges, etc. You may learn calibration of other disciplines as you progress. You will be calibrating equipment from many of the world’s leading manufacturers in aerospace, medical device, consumer electrical, and many other industries.

Learn various administrative activities to help assure readiness of our laboratory. These may include but is not limited to managing calibration schedules for our internal equipment, calibrating and maintaining some of our own equipment, supplies inventories, and more.

Job Description

Calibration (we will train): Use sophisticated test equipment to verify and certify the accuracy of customer test and measurement equipment and document the results using software/database systems; requires great care to manage technical information accurately and thoroughly on electronic documentation, while also working in an efficient manner. Follow all company policies and procedures. Create reports for services performed.

Other possible assignments may be available when/if practical including but not limited to assisting our Internal Engineering Support team or logistical support roles.

Schedule

Full Time, 7AM-4PM, Monday – Friday

Some overtime required.

Requirements/Qualifications

Successful Applicants will possess the following:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years work experience or combination of work experience with equivalent technical training.
  • Skilled at juggling a variety of calibration tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good attitude with positive, productive, professional, and team-oriented mindset toward all stakeholders, such as coworkers, customers, employer, vendors, self, etc.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive with a team-focused mentality.
  • Always be searching for a better way to do things and propose meaningful improvements to help other stakeholders, whether other technicians, other departments, or customer contacts.
  • Reliably execute somewhat complex processes once you have been taught and had a chance to learn multiple times/ways.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions to prepare accurate documents.
  • Able to perform basic math reliably and consistently without mistakes.
  • Flexible – able to adapt to changes, sometimes last minute, to schedule, customer requirements, equipment lists, etc.
  • Ability to multitask: Handle several activities occurring simultaneously such as technical work, documentation, and coworker interaction, and complete them all on time and without errors.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, web browser, and proprietary software).
  • Punctual.
  • Available to work daytime hours Monday-Friday with some overtime and some weekends.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Prior data entry / calibration / machining / QC / engineering / science / related technical experience or training strongly valued but not required.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, background check, skills tests, and eye exam including visual acuity and the ability to differentiate colors effectively required.
