Position Summary:

The Technical Manager provides leadership and expertise in all aspects of Data Management and Data Ingestion Operations. In this role, active development of ingestion processes and troubleshooting of data platform issues is required. The Technical Manager oversees the delivery of all relevant data operations activities from database setup through the end-product as well as the direct supervision of the Operations team; acts as a resource and provides daily direction as needed to meet objectives. Responsible for ensuring that the team meet all expected SLAs and TATs for ETL/ELT processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the data processing activities of the Data Operations Technical team; prioritizes and facilitates the JIRA tickets monitoring and review that supports the daily work.
  • Contributes to completion of operational tasks for data management, data ingestion processing, the build of new ingestion pipelines, removal of data activity, response to high priority requests for data population.
  • Ensure data extraction is done on schedule and report daily operations status and metrics to all stakeholders. Report daily operations status and metrics to all stakeholders.
  • Process incoming data into end state with tools built by development.
  • Automate data extract and QA processes to ensure timely receipt of high-quality data.
  • Identify areas for technical improvement, adopt new data management technologies that enable data-driven decision making for the organization.
  • Create and document appropriate processes to escalate and resolve issues, complete documentation for operational and customer details within Integra.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
  • 3 – 5 years’ management experience in technology support with a deep understanding of ETL/ELT process.
  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to coach and train others in solving complex tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various development projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and quantitative skills. Must then be able to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients.
  • Experience with Microsoft BI stack, SSIS, T-SQL, and SQL Server, Azure Data Factory V2, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen 2, Snowflake, JIRA, Salesforce, Confluence.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Scrum master desired.
