Position Summary

The Supply Technician tasks include limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity or responsibility.

Essential Functions of the Position

  • Performs technical supply management and works under the supervision of the Supply Manager
  • Performs inventory and storage management to include sensitive items, cataloging, property utilization, customer reconciliations, requisitions processing, issue and receipt of supply items, supply parts research and analysis, related to depot, local and other supply activities
  • Updates critical logistical reports daily
  • Manages the data flow between customers, stock operations and STAMIS operations
  • Establishes and maintain automated and manual accounting records, post receipts and turn-ins
  • Ensures that all supply requirements are processed accurately and timely
  • Maintains supply storage area in accordance with regulatory guidance
  • Edits all received supply transactions and posts as applicable
  • Edits and performs quality assurance and quality control checks during input of data from source documents
  • Performs research to resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Investigates stock/record/material discrepancies impacting inventory balances
  • Operates material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and stock selectors to move material
  • Performs physical inventory counts, material inspections and location survey checks
  • Updates records based on cyclic inspections, and researches receipt discrepancies for record adjustments
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

No direct supervisory duties.

Physical Demands

  • Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to perform activities involving considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Work Environment

  • Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
  • Noise level can range from minimal to intense.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have warehousing experience.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Possess a Valid Drivers’ License.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
