This individual will interact face to face daily with our end customer to ensure our mutual manufacturing goals are achieved. This is a high visibility position located directly with our customer.

This position’s primary purpose is to plan and prepare production schedules and maintain inventory for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to meet customer delivery requirements.

This individual will plan, schedule, monitor and control flow of material ensuring production activities, product specification and deadlines are met onsite at a customer location.

ACTIVITIES / TASKS :

  • Coordinate with client’s production leadership daily to determine workflow and prioritization of production schedules across all product lines
  • Utilizing SAP, perform all activities from order generation to order confirmation.
  • Prepare and communicate daily production schedule to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze data to control capacity risks, maintain site efficiencies and assure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor and adjust assembly/production schedules to ensure a proper supply of materials and assemblies are available at each phase of the process.
  • Responsible for the management of inventory cycle counts, obsolescence programs from data collection to reporting.
  • Gather and manage information to update production order status through production order confirmation (daily)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Thorough knowledge of ERP systems, supplier lead times, and production cycle times
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and written
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to learn and maintain ample knowledge of our products, processes, and services
  • Must demonstrate a clear understanding of how to schedule based upon knowledge of available inventory, priority requirements, transit times while utilizing software such as Excel, and other systems to provide continuous production flow and on-time delivery for our customer.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyze large sums of data and determine causes for the results and plans to address.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATION:

  • B.S. in Business, Production/Operations Management, or Planning is strongly preferred. Candidates with similar professional work experience can be considered in lieu of education.
  • At least 3 years of experience in production control, material planning, inventory management and/or purchasing (preferred)
  • Experience with SAP is highly desired; however, other ERP systems will be considered.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite especially Excel, SAP and/or equivalent software

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Office and industrial environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
