ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Feeding Horses
• Stall Cleaning
• Feed Cubes in AM/PM
• Feed Grass Hay in AM
• Fill Pasture feeders with grass hay as needed
• Clean the manure out of each stall
• Clean each stalls water every day
• Dump the manure in the designated place
• Clean pasture water weekly
• Clean feeders that have old feed in them
• Equipment Care - Fuel and working order of equipment
• Clean/Wash Work equipment once per week, such as quads, feed trailers and manure spreader
• Make sure equipment is in good working order. If equipment is not in good working order report to Horse Division Manager.
• Grounds Maintenance
• Empty all trashcans, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
• Refer to chore chart for small duties to be done, such as landscaping.
• Contact Horse Division Manager when vacation or sick day is needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/MENTAL SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Be able to “go with the flow”. Things and plans can change at a moment’s notice in the Horse Division.
• Knowledge and skill set to do ranch maintenance and minimal horse care.
• Good communication skills both written and oral and the ability to maintain a good working relationship with supervisors, subordinates and peers.
• Bilingual-English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage time wisely and work alone and as a team is required.
