Overview:
Patelco Credit Union is seeking a Solutions Specialist II for our Consumer Solutions team. In this role, you will resolve delinquency on all consumer loans, negotiate payment arrangements, and provide financial counseling. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic team that is helping members experiencing financial hardship.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with our members to problem solve issues with their accounts and recommend solutions via Inbound/Outbound calls
  • Assist members with phone inquiries on their accounts and loans.
  • Actively listen and seek to understand members' financial needs, questions, and concerns.
  • Assists members with their financial needs by identifying products and services or other debt counseling services as appropriate
  • Work cross-functionally across the organization to assess, handle, and follow through with complex delinquencies, payment history, etc.
  • Collaborates with Patelco Financial Centers and Call Centers to effectively resolve member issues
  • Responsible for the management and control of assigned manual and auto dialer queue(s)
  • Recommends to management the disposition of delinquent loans, repossession, credit revocation, field investigation, or legal action per established guidelines.
  • Performs skip-tracing to locate skip members
  • May assist with department reporting and projects as required
  • Support management decisions and implement directives as required
  • Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco Credit Union’s policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience (preferably financial institutions or contact centers).
  • Have strong customer service skills.
  • 2+ Years of Consumer collection experience preferred
  • Be proficient on PC, MS Office Products, and Email
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and ability to multi-task
  • Desire, knowledge, and experience in working with and helping other people
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Must be well organized, detail-oriented, and have practical written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team player who demonstrates flexibility in achieving the goals of the department
  • HS Diploma/GED
Target Base Pay:
$26 / hour
