Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, & detailed oriented individuals who are passionate about agricultural technology & machinery. Through this position, you will be working with a major agricultural machinery manufacturer with cutting edge technology. As a Software Test Engineer you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing software tests for crop harvesting equipment including combines. This position is based out of Silvis, Illinois.Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans to verify and validate hardware and software to meet vehicle platform requirements
Conduct reviews alongside technicians to execute software run off, knowledge level, assign software, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues
Document any issues found with the installation, performance, functionality, or durability of hardware and/or software under test
Conduct reviews with software developers to analyze documented issues noted in software testing activities, and track to resolution
Requirements:
Minimum GPA of 2.5 in a technical field such as (Ag Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science); or related degree with equivalent technical experience
Work experience with electrical and software systems in design or testing (SIL/HIL/VIL)
Understanding of controller communication protocols (CAN/LIN) along with recording and analyzing data
Willingness to perform on-vehicle testing
Experience with Agricultural equipment and working with large machinery
Strong technology and computer troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to work with multifunctional, cross-cultural design teams and interface with vehicle design centers and suppliers
Valid U.S. Driver’s License w/ clean driving record
Out-going and positive attitude
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed
Willingness to travel occasionally (

Agricultural background with harvesting experience and combine/FEE operational knowledge
Understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems
Ability to perform advanced analysis of engineering data
Experience with test planning and executing with electrical systems, software, and components
Skills in programming and scripting languages such as Python/C/C++
