We’re seeking a social media freelancer to help our clients enhance their social media presence and strategies. As a social media freelancer, you'll have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional work to our clients. This position is fully remote and ongoing and will require approximately 20 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing those hours based on initial and ongoing performance. An increase in hours/work would be dependent on knowledge of the subject matter, client-specific information, and internal processes and tools (G-suite, Wrike (project management software), Slack, Canva, etc.)

Our clients are focused in the healthcare industry, specifically in cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, mental health, and more.

This freelancing position is focused on the following areas:

Create content and schedule social media posts and stories to post on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn:

  • Develop a comprehensive social media plan for a month at a time
  • Come up with content ideas based on past post performance and what the clients are trying to focus on
  • See what’s trending on social media, track competitors in the industry, and create relevant, on-brand posts
  • Create custom graphics, captions, and hashtags for multiple clients (Canva ok)
  • Schedule posts in Buffer or Meta Business Suite

Engage on the social accounts daily:

  • Respond to all DMs/comments
  • Save posts for content creation inspiration
  • Interact with other healthcare/industry-related accounts (like, comment, share)

This Position Is Right For You If You:

  • Have strong written communication skills and high attention to detail -- a MUST for this content marketing position.
  • Have the ability to execute reliable, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Have an eye for content layout and understand visual hierarchy.
  • Are able to write captivating, audience-specific captions.
  • Can create eye-catching and industry-relevant graphics for social media.
  • Are dedicated to becoming familiar with clients to create appropriate content.
  • Are comfortable working in a remote environment using technology and software such as Google Docs/Sheets, Canva, project management software (Wrike), Slack, and Buffer.

What is it like being a Social Media Freelancer?

  • Daily - Engaging with client accounts (liking posts, commenting, etc.), answering DMs, posting stories (including post of the day and CTAs for engagement, etc.), saving posts for content ideas.
  • Weekly - Completing social inbox audits (double-check all DMs/comments are responded to), boosting posts and updating Ad Spend spreadsheet, compiling video ideas for and creating Reel content, participating in weekly content strategy meetings, conducting hashtag research, creating requested posts if needed.
  • Monthly - Completing dashboards (social insights) and audits (boosted posts, inboxes, Q&As, etc.), calendar topic creation and post creation for the following month, sharing video ideas with clients to prepare for the following month.
