Our client, Hawthorne House, is searching for a Showroom Assistant. Hawthorne House Inc. is the parent company of three distinct business divisions, Hawthorne House, a furnishings and decorating showroom; Scope Lighting, a lighting showroom and lighting design firm; and Lisa Ellis Design, an interiors and architectural design firm for both residential and commercial projects.
SUMMARY
The Showroom Assistant plays a vital role for Hawthorne House. The ideal candidate must be able to work with clients on the showroom floor, keep the showroom floor in pristine condition, and work with operations to facilitate smooth operational flow. We are looking for a service-oriented, positive person who loves design and interacting with people.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly reports to Showroom Manager
- Answer all incoming calls and forward to the appropriate department
- Organize samples
- Assist all clients in the showroom and with custom order sales
- Maintain showroom appearance
- Complete walk-in customer showroom sales
- Manage part-time showroom staff
- Assist showroom manager in all aspects of order placing and tracking, and customer outreach and follow up
QUALIFICATIONS
- CRM knowledge and project management software preferred
- macOS proficiency preferred
- Experience in MS Office
- Excellent customer service skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit, stand, and kneel
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Use computer for long periods of time
