Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Shift: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts open

Rate: $15 to $16 depending on shift

Overtime available

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Loads and unloads all trailers, using the fork lift truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Performs the plant receiving function per established procedures.
• Performs the plant shipping function per established procedures.
• Checks all incoming shipments per established procedures.
• Maintains proper inventory levels in appropriate storage area.
• Prepares material for shipping and follows trucking schedule.
• Performs a visual inspection of every truck; completes appropriate paperwork. Obtains truck drivers signature, distributes the 'Plant
• Transfer Sheet' to the appropriate people.
• Arranges for shipments, when necessary.
• Sweeps trailers before loading them. (where applicable)
• Performs any cycle counting that is requested by supervisor and completes a 'Discrepancy Report' if needed.
• Monitors packaging and components; notifies supervisor of shortages. (where applicable)
• Stores all material in designated area of the warehouse. (where applicable)
• Ensures that forklifts are well maintained and completes the maintenance checklist.
• Maintains good housekeeping in work area.
• Performs other tasks assigned by designated supervisor.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Physically capable of performing all duties and functions involved in the job. Reasonable
  accommodations may be made to enable inpiduals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Able to work well without direction; self-starter.
• Obtains hi-lo license and operates hi-lo safely.
• Good communication skills.
