Nick Mayer Chevrolet, Buick, GMC in Lewisburg, TN is seeking a Full-Time Service Manager to join our team and run our very busy Service Department. The right candidate is someone who is a natural leader, sales oriented, organized and well versed in customer satisfaction. E xperience GM and leading a high-volume automotive service repair shop is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Have a complete vision of a successful service department with a sound knowledge of service, parts and mechanics.
  • Management mentality of a team leader, and not a boss.
  • Be willing to both assist the team where necessary and analyze processes and results to determine opportunities of improvement, change and innovation.
  • Proven record of excellent customer relations.
  • Possess strong communications skills with a readiness to engage with our guests.
  • Self-motivated to actively support, encourage, motivate, lead and grow our service staff through regular departmental meetings and trainings.
  • Conduct daily shop goal assessments to meet company sales targets.
  • Oversee scheduling of appointments for the Service Center.
  • Assist in controlling all Service Center expenses including but not limited to payroll, claims and supplies.
  • Demonstrate awareness and compliance with loss prevention and safety policies.
  • Manage warranty and cost savings.
  • Perform equipment inspections, adjustments, and maintenance.
  • Maintain service records.
Qualifications:
  • Previous General Motors automotive service repair shop experience is REQUIRED for this position.
  • Proficiency in technology and safety.
  • Qualified applicants will have a professional appearance, high energy, positive attitude, and strong communication skills.
  • Above average computer literacy: proficient in CDK and other automotive applications is an advantage.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and investigative research skills.
  • Process and solution focused.
  • Analytical and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment drug screening.
  • Have a valid driver license and be insurable under the organizations policy.
