Senior Financial Analyst, Mobility Job at Cox Automotive

The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with Mobility and Cox Automotive Inc. (CAI) Finance and Accounting Leaders to integrate newly acquired businesses into the Mobility Finance reporting and process framework. This role will assess current state reporting and business processes, develop migration recommendations, lead aspects of migration projects (including but not limited to) reporting conversion, metric automation, and process standardization, along with analyzing business performance against expectations to tell a data-driven performance story.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Consolidate month-end financial and KPI analysis into reports and presentations to explain business performance, trends, and risks & opportunities
  • Analyze financial and KPI business performance to tell a data driven business performance story
  • Assess current state reporting, metrics, and business processes (month-end reporting, forecast, budget, etc) to develop action-based recommendations that define an integration approach, scope, and timeline
  • Support transition of financial and KPI reporting processes into Cox Auto tools and Mobility Finance processes
  • Assist in evolving metrics reporting capabilities that drive business performance improvements and improve planning accuracy
  • Support the forecasting process and develop models that predict how the business will perform in the future and if its tracking to expectations
  • Partner with other finance, systems, and reporting teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and continuous process improvement
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc financial reporting, analysis, and modeling to Cox Auto Leaders



Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:


  • Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Proficient using Excel and modeling with large complex data sets
  • Strong communication skills - can present views in a clear and compelling manner
  • Ability to build strong trusted working relationships and influence business partners
  • Process or project management skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Highly-organized with high sense of ownership, excellent follow-through, and a strong bias for action
  • Ability to work independently and proactively develop solutions with minimal guidance



Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting with 4+ years of experience working with a strong focus in financial reporting and analysis, financial planning (budget/ forecast) OR Master's Degree with 2+ years of financial experience OR Ph.D. with 1+ year of finance experience, OR 10+ years of relevant financial experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required, including logical and reference formulas, financial functions, correlation through logic, best practice structure/design, assumption toggling, charting/graphing, and formatting for executive presentations
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint skills with proven ability to create and present executive level presentations
  • Previous experience with finance reporting and process integrations is a plus
  • Experience with OneStream is a plus
