As a Senior Finance Analyst you will research and provide financial and business-related analyses to assess the impact of various projects, systems and transactions.


What You Will Do:

  • Conducts analyses and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investment.
  • Prepares forecasts and analyze trends in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions, and other related areas.
  • Prepares detail of work plan and schedule, completes detailed analysis and research, identifies options, prepares reports for management and recommends action or change for assigned projects.
  • Participates in the formulation of department budgets.
  • Reviews departmental actual expenses versus budget. Issues monthly variance statements.
  • Perform frequent analysis on both the full P&L and individual divisions to identify risks and provide variance explanations
  • Participate in the AOP process by preparing input templates for winegrowing and sales departments, loading the budget, providing ongoing support to the broader team, analyzing both the full and specific areas of the P&L, presenting to and preparing AOP presentations for senior leadership
  • Lead and participate in ad hoc financial analysis projects as necessary, including but not limited to pricing, transportation methods, new product development, and cost savings
  • Participates in the production of monthly management reports and business reviews including profit and loss
  • Reviews departmental actual expenses versus budget and forecast, notifies appropriate stakeholders of variances.
  • Reports to corporate the financial performance of the business unit
  • Participates in the development of department procedures and performance measures.
  • Conducts special financial and business-related studies as requested.
  • Reviews departmental actual expenses versus budget and forecast, notifies appropriate stakeholders of variances
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Develops strategies that add value to the business including the economic analysis of investments and other business opportunities
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
  • Reviews historical operational and overhead trends, research drivers of variances, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Acts as liaison between Finance, sales, winegrowing and corporate to increase ownership and understanding of financial reporting

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of finance, accounting, audit, economics, statistics or mathematics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility, OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo experience to include business analytics and financial modeling work reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with MS Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • MBA degree plus 4 years of finance, accounting, military, operations, supply chain, sales, consulting or wine industry experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of Finance or Accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with MS Access at an intermediate level.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Outlook Soft.
  • Experience with MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
  • Experience applying mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience completing assignments that broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
  • Broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.

Compensation:


  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $71,190 - $118,700
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
