Quality Data Analyst II

Summary
This is a quality improvement role that will provide data analytics in support of quality projects, business intelligence and recommendations to leadership. This role seeks to deliver timely, efficient, and effective information to drive cross-functional quality improvements across the organization.
Accountabilities:
  • This position will assist in the analysis and reporting of quality or other system data, such as Out of Box Quality reports, Warranty / Premature Failure, Manufacturing Barriers, Supplier Quality Notifications, Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems.
  • Reconcile and integrate data across multiple systems.
  • Model data using MS Office tools and/or other analytical and database tools.
  • Use analytical techniques to identify useful information and transform data into actionable insights. Techniques may include EDA/VDA (Exploratory/Visual Data Analysis) tools, statistical tools, etc.
  • Review data do determine operational impact and escalates improvement opportunities.
  • Drive data driven customer centric improvement needs.
  • Provide product quality reports to Service, Sales, Marketing and Customer Management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study with 2-4 years of experience.
  • In lieu of Degree, equivalent combined years of hands-on analytical experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office suite or other analytical applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Quality Improvement Tools such as Pareto, Fishbone, 5 Why’s, 8D, etc.
  • Lean Six Sigma training/certification
Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality
  • Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to understand and interpret detailed documents
  • Communicating clearly with colleagues and in giving presentations.
  • Ability to travel to Universal locations, customer sites or technical conferences up to 25%.
