As a Senior Associate in the BDO FMA Consulting practice, you will provide professional services that are sensitive to the needs and values of both nonprofit organizations and funders that support them. This is a unique opportunity for a mission-oriented professional who wants to leverage their nonprofit and/or financial management expertise to support nonprofit organizations both locally and virtually.

BDO FMA is a growth-oriented management consulting practice dedicated to building the capacity of the nonprofit sector. We partner with our nonprofit and philanthropic clients to help them attain operational excellence, ensure financial sustainability, and effectively achieve their desired impact. Our collaborative approach includes client input and involvement at each stage of an engagement.

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

California Locations: $74,000 - $85,000
Washington Locations: $74,000 - $85,000

BDO Total Rewards include but encompass so much more than traditional “benefits,” such as compensation and health-related insurance (medical, dental and vision) for employees who meet eligibility requirements. Examples include but are not limited to 12 days or more Paid Time Off annually, dependent on position, plus an additional 12 paid holidays and Parental Leave. A 401k match is offered as well as eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) or more years of demonstrated employment experience, required; OR High School Diploma/GED and five (5) or more years of demonstrated employment experience, required
  • MBA, MPA, or related master’s degree, preferred

Experience
  • Three (3) or more years demonstrated experience in nonprofit organizations or management consulting, required
  • Experience working with nonprofits, preferred

Software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, required

Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, preferred
