Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing inquiries and building relationships with prospective residents
  • On-site presentations and tours
  • Personal written, electronic and virtual communications with prospective residents
  • In-home visits and presentations when appropriate

Approximately 75% of daily activity should be devoted to the four primary sales disciplines above. Additional daily activities include but aren’t limited to:

  • Scheduling and conducting tours of Lakewood’s campus and community
  • Intensive communications with prospective residents
  • Attending weekly sales meetings to discuss sales strategies, reporting, and evaluation
  • Participate in sales training and self-improvement activities
  • Knowledge of community and mission to educate prospective residents, families and their representatives
  • Participating in admissions process, reviews, and policies and procedures.
  • Assist with certain aspects of the marketing plan as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Public Relations and operational assignments as requested by the Director of Marketing.
  • Establish a routine for effective presentations to prospective residents, which will include
  • Attend weekly sales meetings to discuss sales strategies, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Participate in sales training and self-improvement activities which may require short periods of travel.
  • Maintain intensive communication with prospective residents.
  • Implement aggressive referral networking.
  • Participate in a teleselling program with a goal of making an average of ten completed telephone calls/presentations per day. Make reports weekly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Create and send two video messages to prospective residents per week. Make reports weekly to the Director of Marketing.
  • Schedule and conduct an average of fifteen on-site presentations per month. Make reports weekly to the Director of Marketing.
  • Achieve an average gross sales to presentations ratio of 25% (where one sale is made for four presentations) each month. This will result in three reservations per month.
  • In an expansion project, convert 75% of reservations holders to 10% depositors within two months of obtaining reservations.
  • Manage leads through the lead management program Matrix Care Marketing.
  • Understand and adhere to the rules and regulations of the “One Up” Lead Distribution System. The Marketing Assistant will distribute leads and referrals for both Sales and Marketing Counselors.
  • Participate in admissions process, reviews, and policies and procedures.
  • Assist with certain aspects of the marketing plan as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Public Relations and operational assignments as requested by the Director of Marketing. The goal is to promote a “TEAM” marketing philosophy.

General Qualifications:

  • bachelor’s degree is preferred or senior living sales experience equivalent
  • community expansion and/or new construction pre-sales experience is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively with prospective residents and their representatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge and ability to implement prescribed marketing methods.
  • Ability to manage time effectively. Requirements include utilizing computer software and lead management system to complete prospect tracking, correspondence and other job functions.
  • Ability to present oneself as a professional, representing Lakewood’s mission.
