Position Summary: The Sales Assistant performs a wide range of duties related to the Project Cycles from pre-sales through invoicing, and everything in-between!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Taking a Customer-centric approach to all aspects of work
  • Communicate with other employees and customers in a calm, respectful, and professional manner
  • Answer the phone and direct callers to the appropriate individual.
  • Copy and file documents, work orders, estimates, invoices, etc., as needed.
  • Assist the sales team as needed (i.e.: contacting customers when orders are ready for pickup, labelling and mailing marketing materials and follow-up letters when requested, delivering orders when needed, making competitive “shopping” calls, etc.).
  • Attend & participate in WIP (Work In Progress) meetings 3x/week, or as needed
  • Multi-task—work on different projects simultaneously.
  • Assist Outside Sales Professional(s) as needed (i.e.: contact vendors for pricing, shipping updates, minor project management, estimate follow-up, and customer service needs)
  • Assist other duties assigned by Outside Sales Professionals orderly and efficiently
  • Assist in estimate creation
  • Conduct and/or oversee site surveys, deliveries, installations, as required
  • Conduct quality control checks on in-house produced orders and vended products.
  • Serve as a backup for overflow production needs.
  • Communicate with other employees regarding timing, extra charges, errors to enable them to keep customers advised of situations.
  • Understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Technical Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize time-sensitive matters.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Google Suite and HubSpot experience a plus
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
  • Team player and adaptability.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
