The role you’ll contribute:

To deliver advanced surgical assisting skills such as exposure, tissue handling, suturing subcutaneous and skin tissues, providing hemostasis, handling and dissecting tissues in collaboration with the surgeon, and using surgical instruments. The RNFA performs these functions during the operation under direct supervision. The RNFA collaborates with other healthcare members to implement a plan of care unique to each patient while maintaining principles of asepsis and infection control. To act as a role model for care delivery and demonstrate compliance with hospital policy and appropriate laws and regulations.


Under the direction of the surgeon, duties may include the following:


Manages and coordinates the pre, intra, and postoperative plan of care for assigned patients. Delivers nursing care to all patients, including assessing patient needs, planning, delivering, and coordinating care and reassessing/evaluation care. To act as a role model for care delivery and demonstrate Service Standards in all actions. This includes demonstrating excellent service behavior.


To deliver medical/surgical nursing care to all patients, including assessing patient needs, planning, delivering, and coordinating care and reassessing/evaluating care.

Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSURE and EDUCATION REQUIRED:


  • Current RN License in the State of Georgia
  • Basic Life Support upon hire (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year
  • Prior Pre/Post Surgery Experience preferred
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
