Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health provides a range of procedural specialty service lines. Some of our procedures include GI/Endo, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Electrophysiology lab. In this position the RN will be responsible for both Admit and recovery of patients undergoing these procedures. The PACU nurses are also responsible for the management and evaluation of post anesthesia and postoperative complications including pain and nausea. The Registered Nurse in PACU holds the autonomy to determine readiness for discharge from PACU based on PACU scoring criteria.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications for this position include:

Current WA State RN license is required before start date.
One (1+) years recent RN experience with acute care patients.
CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Other certifications may be required depending on specialty area.

  • ACLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
  • Current experience in PACU, ICU, procedural and or Tele is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with starting IV’s preferable
  • BSN or MSN preferred

Please note: Variable Start Time

Dept Hours of Operation 5:30a-7:30p M-F. Please note, this is a 12 hour position.

Call Required: includes some weekends and 3-hour "Evening Backup" (7:30p-10:30p) every 1-2 weeks to support patient care as needed.

Pay Range

$40.73 - $68.93 /hour
