Job Summary
Connections is the branded term for the Wells Fargo corporate conference centers within their large administrative buildings. The Connections team manages collaborative, meeting, and event space in 12 markets across the United States. Our customers are Wells Fargo Employees, contract staff, and nonprofit organizations.

This position may be based in any one of our offices: New York, Charlotte, Denver, Chandler AZ, Des Moines, Minneapolis, St. Louis or San Francisco
Reservationist Manager Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable on all Connections site information; able to answer questions and/or research information regarding specific Connections locations
  • Delivers consistent customer interactions across e-mail, instant messaging and phone utilizing uniform terminology, consistent e-mail templates and standardized workflow processes
  • Manage space conflicts with Reservationists and work to find resolutions that accommodate all groups’ needs and maximize utilization of conference center needs
  • Review monthly operational metrics, actively identify, and share opportunities to increase utilization, lower cancellation rates and unfilled requests, and present findings as needed.
  • Communicate operational challenges to National Contract Manager
  • Work together with Contract Manager and other Area Managers to lead and manage projects and teams remotely
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor and supervise reservationist team including oversight in initial training, and ongoing training measures to continuely improve their functionality
  • Serve as the first point of contact for C-Suite, and Meeting and Event planners within the Connections footprint
  • Ability to triage meetings with critical eye and delegate meetings appropriately to local teams, or Reservationist team based on type of event
  • Continue to monitor relationships with stakeholders, and keep resources up to date that are utilized for stakeholders and Reservationist team
  • Establish and maintain consistent procedures for booking, planning and execution of meetings and events at Connections Centers across the US
  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of leadership
  • Must be able to travel to Reservationist and high demand locations, when necessary, 20% of the time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years operations experience
  • 3+ years coordinating project activities and resources
  • 1+ year of leadership experience in an operations environment
  • Demonstrated customer service skills; three years of customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Advanced skills in task prioritization and quality review
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and maintain a flexible approach when providing customer support
  • Must be comfortable speaking in front of an audience (both in-person and virtually)
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with lower to mid-level operations team members and other managers at the same level or one level higher
  • Able to work independently on moderately complex issues and projects as assigned

Preferred Skills:

  • Work experience with reservation/scheduling software systems
  • Catering or other food service-related experience
  • Communications, Event Planning or Hospitality background
