For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 1-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Pre Admit (PREP): Every surgical patient will have a phone call with a nurse to get them ready for surgery, to help ensure the best possible outcome. The PREP RN will work with patients to review eating or drinking before surgery, health history, medicine that should or should not be taken prior to surgery and other specifics.
40 Hours a week/Flexible Schedule, No Nights, Weekends or Holidays
Position Summary
    Assists the physicians in the care and treatment of patients, particularly by responding to telephone calls. Responsible for the delivery of care through the process of assessment, planning and implementation. Position is responsible for providing interventions designed to ensure the coordination and continuity of care and services for at-risk patients with chronic diseases and/or behavioral and mental diagnoses and social-economic issues. Promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. Performs tasks as required, paying attention to detail and accuracy. Conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality. The incumbent is required to conduct all job responsibilities consistent with policies, procedures, and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and activities.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: N/A
  • License/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the Maine State Board of Nursing required. BSN preferred. BLS required.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years or more prior experience in outpatient or hospital setting and understanding of office practice workflow preferred.
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple activities.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with staff.
