Registered Nurse, Endoscopy - Per Diem - Morristown Medical Center Job at Atlantic Health System
Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per diem Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy Suite at Morristown Medical Center.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessment and develop individualized plan of care
- Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures and minor procedures
- Responsible for patient care in all three areas of Endoscopy which includes pre-op, intra-procedure (including pediatric) and recovery
- Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served
- Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
- Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job
- Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills
Minimum Education:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program required
- BSN preferred
Minimum Experience:
- Previous endoscopy, ED or PACU experience or procedural experience as a Registered Nurse strongly preferred
- 2-3 years of nursing experience in med surg, critical care, ED, PACU or endoscopy.
License/Certifications:
- Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license
- BSN preferred
- BLS required
- ACLS upon hire
